Penang is finally Tuned!

April 16, 2009

From the person who bring us cheap flights, the latest project from the same company, Tune Hotels is finally officially opened its largest branch at Penang Island on this fine morning of April 2009.  Alongside with PenangTuapui.com, we were invited to attend the official launching held at none other place but the hotel itself.

While we were having our courtesy breakfast by Ole Cafe over there, we had the opportunity to be framed into a photo together with Dato’ Tony Fernandes, the guy who made all these deals a reality!

The hotel was officiated by our Penang’s CM, Yang Amat Berhormat Ketua Menteri Lim Guan Eng

We were also invited to pay a visit to the rooms of Tune Hotels after the ceremony.  The room offered has exceeded my expectation for such a low price.  With choices of package customizations and more than enough spaces for 2.  I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Penang for holidays, or business trip.  Worth it.

This is the  twin single room, as I did not prepare for a propr shoot, this is the only photos I am able to show.

After the hotel tour, all the invited guests were invited by Tune Hotel to go on for a quick lunch trip with the lead of PenangTuapui.com, the 1st stop was some classic “Roti Bakar” (Toast) at Toh Soon Cafe.

Toh Soon Cafe is located at one of the back lane of Campbell Street; When we arrived, there are plenty of customers enjoying toasts and coffee, I was told that our CM visits this stall also!  Was the toast good?  Check out the following photo!

With plenty of variety, I am sure you will like one of those.  The trip continued after the great toast to a old Restaurant few houses nearby, Hameediyah Restaurant.

The restaurant offered regular “Mamak-stall” cuisine such as “Murtabak”, “Nasi Kandar” and etc.  Our experience here were actually not that satisfied as mentioned here.

After the lunch, we went for some deserts and souvenir at Chowrasta Bazaar before ending the short trip!

Feel free to comments.

Another thanks to PenangTuaPui.com for allowing me to tag along to the recently operated dining place in Queensbay Mall, Penang.
Azuma Japanese Restaurant, started their food journey from Sabah, follow by our capital city Kuala Lumpur and then all the way up north to Penang!

With years of experiences serving Japanese cuisine, the foods are well prepared and presented to diners!
Among the chef’s recommendation we had, the special Pizzas is a must-try dish when one visit Azuma,
